Miscellaneous “Sun & Shadow” Items – March 2013

The following are miscellaneous sun, shade, solar and solar energy facts and comments.  They were derived from our twitter feed (http://twitter.com/SunPosition or @SunPosition).

My idea of a "Sunshine List" is a list of sunrise/sunset times - http://bit.ly/puJ3Fr

Cool to think the sun is tracking along the equator today. Here's where it was at 11:36 am EDT today

>Leigh Buchan‏@lives2talk: @SunPosition That's cool! And now the earth gets farther & farther away from the sun!

>Ralph Bouwmeester ‏@SunPosition: @lives2talk And as we in the northern hemisphere start tipping towards the sun, it should soon start getting warmer.

Saint John reaches 12 hrs of daylight today too. RT @mattybing: Huzzah! Here's hoping the east coast is out of the shadows too!

Barrie will receive 12 hours of daylight starting today.

Ottawa sunset tomorrow 7:02 pm. Nice.

Toronto sunset tomorrow 7:18 pm. Nice.

Too bad the days don't actually get longer after the time change.

If your clocks and computer time don't agree tomorrow, your computer is probably right.

Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour at bedtime tonight. Back to DST.

Standard Time lasts only 18 weeks out of 52. How is that 'standard'?

>Eugenia Ambrozaitis ‏@ReconGeni: @SunPosition Funny ;o) And btw thx for providing info to my team partner re: sun position. We've had a great week "educating" ourselves!

>Ralph Bouwmeester ‏@SunPosition: @ReconGeni My pleasure. Thanks for the referral. Happy to help anytime.

Our monthly sun tables have been posted

Cheers, Ralph
