On Sunday, the OHL game between Windsor and Saginaw at Comerica Park was pushed back 98 minutes because of the sun’s glare off the ice surface.
“You can be as cold as you want,” said NHL ice guru Dan Craig, the man overseeing the surface at the Big House. “If we have bright sunshine, we have a problem.”
Bright afternoon sunshine would create issues for any team defending the north end of Michigan Stadium…

Bright sunshine, as the AHL Marlies and Hamilton Bulldogs experienced in their outdoor game two seasons ago, can cause glare off the ice.
