Sun’s glare causes three drivers to crash into skip in South Shields street in same day https://t.co/BadnGsrLQT #RoadSafety #sunglare
— Ralph Bouwmeester (@SunPosition) November 18, 2018
Awful! The skip was almost in the middle of the road. I put the skip co. at fault. What do you think ins. co would say what/who is at fault?
— Leigh Buchan (@lives2talk) November 18, 2018
.@lives2talk Well, it was a strange series of crashes. Responsibility depends on a number of 'perfect storm' things. #RoadSafety #sunglare
— Ralph Bouwmeester (@SunPosition) November 18, 2018
.@lives2talk The first crash was maybe understandable, but not the 2nd and 3rd. #RoadSafety #sunglare
— Ralph Bouwmeester (@SunPosition) November 19, 2018
How far apart were the crashes? If the crashes happened and the vehicle from previous crash was removed, wouldn't it be the same situ for the 3 or them? I still think the skip should have been moved.
— Leigh Buchan (@lives2talk) November 19, 2018
.@lives2talk I understood the crashes were at the same location, so yes, the skip should have been moved or more warnings put up. #RoadSafety #sunglare

At our other place near Horseshoe Valley, there are lots of solar panel farms. We've driven towards the way they face and have not seen any glare. If they are absorbing sunlight to turn into energy, why would there be glare?
